The Mallu Chef...called Nithya

It was another weekend and me and my 3 friends, Bhata, Nithya & Sharat as usual where planning as to wat we can do for the weekend.To begin with we decided to check the movies, but to our bad luck couldnt get any tickets for the movie Sarkar.So as we all sat down wondering wat to do.All of a sudden Nithya got this idea of cooking lunch for all of us.As soon as she spoke out this idea of us...there was like a hush among us and time seemed to have stopped for a minute...and we 3 guys instead of having a flashback had a 'Fast Forward" and could picturise burnt..vessels..burnt rice and half cooked vegetables.And the worst part was that we were worried about our Tummies...wondering if we were such 'Brave Hearts' as to eat the food cooked by Nithya.But then Nithya was determined to show off her culinary talent and started making a list of things she needed to cook lunch and the 'experiment' was to be carried out at Bhata's kitchen.One should have seen the look on Bhata's face...when his kitchen was chosen as the venue for the 'experiment'.But being this nice guy, Bhata finally gave in...and even plans were made to prepare FISH(ooh i forgot
to mention..Bhata is a Bengali and Sharat is a Mangalorean..so FISH made their mouths water). Nithya..made some ground rules..that when she is in kitchen no one else should be there...and we being the 'perfect' male species...just coulnt ask for anything more...so we 3 sat in front of the tube and were watching the India v/s West Indies cricket match.
Yes, we admit that the noises coming from the kitchen sure made us a bit apprehensive about whether allowing Nithya to cook was a wise decision or not.But then since we had given in..so we decided to go all the way.
So after an hour Nithya declares that food is ready...we guys with this funny look on our faces..go into the kitchen with our tummies growling with hunger and expecting the worst. But to our surprise we see a bowl of Kadi(a sort of sambar) all nicely seasoned and kept ready and a bowl with nice grated cabbage all nicely cooked and ready to be devoured.
The smell was nice and the looks were inviting..but then we were still not sure about the taste.So we all sat down for lunch and each of us guys waiting for the other to start first and taste the cooking.But then when we tasted Nithya's cooking...it was just awesome...we guys were really surprised at nithya's
cooking.It was just too good and we like hungry gluttons...ate rice with the Kadi and cabbage.
Actually her cooking was so good that each of us were reminded of our home and missed Mom's cooking.You should have seen the glow on Nithya's face...she had the look as if she had conquested the kitchen.
So..as of now...she is busy making plans ..deciding what she can cook for next weekend.We all guys...are busy praying that its not another incident of 'BEGINNERS LUCK' for Nithya and hoping that her cooking is not just a 'FLASH IN THE PAN'.
MOM DAD...if something happens to me...u guys know whom to be held responsible...ok ;-)
